That epitome of luxury, the mega yacht glides in and out of the world's
finest marinas according to the season and the whim of its guests. Our
islands are fortunate to be a preferred destination for these rather special
travelers, especially when winter falls on the northern hemisphere. Then,
these amazing giants of the sea flock to our shores offering us a glimpse
of the comfort they conceal. As they line up at the dock, a sense of friendly
rivalry invites comparison. In the highly competitive world of shipbuilding
there will always be someone with a bigger, more beautiful boat.
Staring wide-eyed
from the shore, at least
we have the right to dream.

Parangon de luxe, le méga yacht va et vient dans les plus belles marinas
du monde au gré des saisons et au bon vouloir de ses invités. Nos îles ont
l’avantage de passionner ces voyageurs un peu particuliers, surtout
lorsque l’hiver s’abat dans l’hémisphère nord. Les quais voient alors affluer
des mastodontes laissant deviner tout le confort qu’ils abritent. Dans cet
étonnant alignement s’instaure probablement une sympathique rivalité
forçant la comparaison. L’émulation règne puisqu’en matière d’industrie
nautique il y a en effet toujours plus grand et plus beau que soi.
