At the tee box of the 390-yard starting hole, players are greeted by a spectacular vista of Saint Martin
and the Caribbean Sea. The fairway descends over 40 feet to a narrow, two-tiered green sitting
precariously on the edge of a saltwater lagoon. Robb Report called this first hole, “The Caribbean’s
answer to the 18th at Pebble Beach”.
Large sand dunes on the left and a saltwater pond on the right frame the perilous drive
on the 440-yard 16th hole that plays dead into the trade winds and ends with an elevated
green surrounded by water and protected by deep bunkers.
The drive for the finishing hole runs along the edge of the mangrove thicket in a vast stretch
of the saltmarsh that winds through eight of the course holes. The narrowing fairway rises forty
feet through rugged terrain to a sliver of green carved out of the native shrubbery.
