The stores on Back Street are a little

less high-end but just as interesting.

They tend to specialize more in

ready-to-wear sportswear and

there is no better place to look for

the name-brand jeans and sports

shoes that you crave. Whatever

it is you are shopping for, it is

a good idea to browse through

both streets as you may well find

some unexpected bargains.

The beachside Boardwalk is lined with a profusion of bars and restaurants and is an ideal place to

stroll, sunbathe or go for a swim. For history buffs, the site of Fort Amsterdam, at the west end of

Great Bay is a stirring place to visit. It was built in 1631 by the first Dutch settlers. The same people

who founded New Amsterdam, a little town that would one day be called... New York.
